    INTERNATIONAL YOUTH FORUM  2013 MAURITIUS

     

    Chandigarh, 10th October,2013

    SAARTHI, a Chandigarh based NGO is heading a 32 members Youth delegation to Mauritius today. The delegation will represent India at the first ever International Youth Forum (IYF), Mauritius which will be held from 11th-18th October, 2013. The event is organized by konectenu – an NGO based in Mauritius in association with SAARTHI – an NGO based in Chandigarh. 32 Delegates will be a part of Indian Delegation for attending the forum out of which 21 are from Chandigarh, Punjab & Haryana. Delegates are in the age group of 16-28 years who are students and working professionals from different parts of the India.

    IYF 2013, Mauritius aims to provide a common platform to the young upcoming leaders from around the world to discuss general issues like Leadership, Politics, Humanities and Entrepreneurship. There will be different sessions covering above said topics by the expert speakers. The Indian delegation is headed by Mr. Naveen Kumar, Head of Operations, SAARTHI.

    Mr. Tarun Kumar, President, SAARTHI added, youth of our nation must question "What have our leaders done to make our youth strong? It is not just enough to provide them with food, shelter, clothing and baseless education. What is more important is to prepare them for the battle of life through positive outlook and practical wisdom.” IYF will provide a unique platform the delegates to explore answers to all the questions our youth is facing today.

    Official Website Launch of Saarthi - an NGO

    Chandigarh, 21st September, 2013

    Saarthi – Enlightening Your Pathway, a Chandigarh based NGO has launched its website: "www.saarthi.org.in” at Panjab University Student Center. The website is an engaging social platform bringing together people from all walks of life. The website enables youth to join the organization to volunteer for various events, to work as an intern and learn. This site reflects the thinking and efforts of the Saarthi’s Team. Newly elected President of Panjab University Campus Student Council, Mr. Chandan Rana was invited by Saarthi’s team members for launching the website. On this occasion he expressed his views about the website and about Saarthi’s work towards Youth empowerment. "It’s a good initiative by Saarthi to work towards youth empowerment and to facilitate Indian youth so that they can contribute towards national development”. He also invited Saarthi to be a part of various events which will be organized in PU Campus during his tenure as the President. The president of Saarthi, Mr. Tarun Kumar Saini affirms the invitation.

    Website launch ceremony was followed by an interactive training session for the delegates from Chandigarh who are going to participate and represent India in the International Youth Forum (IYF) 2013 to be held at Mauritius in October,2013.
